The City of Penticton has a vacancy for an Operator III at the Water Treatment Plant.  This position is the Senior WTP Operator and will be required to supervise the plant from time to time.

Completion of a two-year Water Quality Technology program or equivalent with a Level IV certification in the Environmental Operators Certification Program (EOCP) and a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a municipal Class IV Water Treatment Plant or equivalent combination of skills and experience as accepted by the City of Penticton is required for the role.

The successful candidate must have a thorough knowledge of all pertinent WorkSafe BC regulations, excellent computer skills, including databases and the Microsoft office suite, exceptional communication skills both verbal and written.  Supervisory experience is considered an asset.

This position requires the individual to be on scheduled standby and take after hours calls; accordingly a valid Class 5 BC Driver’s Licence is also required.
