Water Treatment Operator and Systems Maintainers – Town of Watson Lake

The Town of Watson Lake is a vibrant, multicultural community of 1,500 situated at the Gateway to the Yukon on the world famous Alaska Highway. The location will be of particular interest to those interested in the outdoors. The area boasts magnificent lakes and an abundance of recreational activities.

The Water Treatment Operator & Systems Maintainers will be responsible for overseeing the activities and processes that go into treating and distributing municipal drinking water, performing skilled and semi-skilled maintenance work, and operating a variety of equipment in the operation, repair and maintenance of Town water, sewer and drainage facilities & systems.

Applicants must have either Level 1 or II Water treatment Certification or be approaching completion. The preferred candidates will also have Water distribution and Wastewater collection certificates. Knowledge of the principles, standards and practices of the SCADA program is a strong asset.

The successful candidates are required to supply a criminal record check and a copy of their credentials.

Salary Range:
Water Treatment Operator Level 1 & Systems Maintainer $63,990 – $72,021/annum (2015 rates)
Water Treatment Operator Level 11 & Systems Maintainer $68,483 – $77,078/annum (2015 rates)
