Operations- Repair Group Leader provides leadership and overall direction to the Repair Service team. The primary objective is to continuously monitor and improve the process flow of repaired product to meet the delivery expectations of our customers. While there is a technical requirement to this position emphasis will be placed on lean manufacturing and process improvement capabilities
Responsibility
Overall responsibility for the repair facility
Daily supervision of the repair administration and repair technicians
Ensure Repair Technicians are competent and consistently follow inspection, repair and testing procedures
Identify and implement measures to ensure customer delivery expectations are met
Implement the necessary measures to identify the bottlenecks associated with meeting customer delivery expectations for repaired product
Continuously evaluate results of production activities, including progress against established targets and schedules for the purpose of CIP
Effectively communicate and implement CIP initiatives identified through measures and associate feedback
Work closely with Technical Service Group to ensure Technician product training is in line with market repair requirement
Actively participate in planning and executing effective customer relations through site visits and providing recommendations for improving customer retention and customer satisfaction
When required, provide manpower resources to the field service team and warranty team
Ensure the availability of proper tooling to repair product
Achievement of agreed sales and gross margin forecasts
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in industrial or mechanical engineering
3+ years manufacturing engineering experience
3+ years of supervisory and leadership experience
Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
Strong organizational and time management skills
Coaching and leadership skills
