Job Description :
Kneehill County is a vibrant and progressive municipality with a supervisory opportunity in our Planning and Development Department.  The successful candidate will serve as the key resource and advisory person regarding planning and development matters for the municipality.

Responsibilites of this customer focused position include:

Responding to general planning enquiries, administer subdivision and development review and approval, preparation of palnning reports, compliance certificates and coordinating of appeal processes.
Provide hands-on leadership and guidance in the development, implementation and administration of Planning & Development policies and practices.
Participate in community consultation processes.

We want to hear from you if you have exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, are community minded and have demonstrated a committment to excellence in public service.  A solid understanding of appropriate legislative framework, along with the importance of building and maintaining rapport with a variety of stakeholders are key requirements.

The successful candidate will bring with them several years’ experience in a  municipal government setting in addition to a recognized certificate, diploma or degreee in local government.  Preference will be given to candidates who have a recognized diploma or degree in Land Use Planning.
