The Jean Marie River First Nation is seeking an energetic and enthusiastic professional for the role of Public Works foreman.

Reporting to the Senior Administrative Officer, the Public Works Foreman is responsible for the management, administration and delivery of all JMRFN public works programs and services in order to ensure that JMR residents receive effective and appropriate services.
While work actual hours may fluctuate, depending on service requirements, the position is expected to work a standard 35 hour week and supervise a department of approximately 2-4 fulltime, casual staff.

The ideal candidate:

must have a Valid Driver’s License, class 3 with airbrakes endorsement,
hold post-secondary qualifications in areas related to the job title,
must provide a Criminal Record Check,
must have a strong practical and proven background in municipal public works operations,
be computer proficient: knowledge of Microsoft office, internet, email and asset management software,
must have proven verbal & written communication skills,
project management and supervision skills,
ability to work in a team environment,
mentoring ability,
Must be drug and alcohol free at all times.
