Manage and oversee the daily operations of the plant. Monitor operations for efficiency and safety ensuring that all applicable regulatory requirements are followed
Ensure that periodic and preventive maintenance are appropriately scheduled and accomplished and that emergency troubleshooting and maintenance support are readily available as needed to minimize unscheduled down time
Oversees maintenance goal setting, activity scheduling, work performance and performance management to ensure measurable goals, proper workload distribution, goal satisfaction and effective staff performance management
Coordinate equipment and building facility maintenance activities at the plant, including capital projects with support of corporate engineering to maximize equipment reliability, efficiency and cost
Administer contracts for the provision of supplies and services
Develop improvement activities aimed at correcting weaknesses and prolonging working life of the equipment through corrective maintenance
Recommend modifications of existing equipment and facilities and the possible replacement of existing equipment which will improve operations and reduce maintenance costs
Responsible for the efficient maintenance of all plant transportation equipment
Ensure that safety is made a priority and that employees and managers are abiding by all Health and Safety regulations
Develop an annual budget that will adequately provide for required Maintenance activities. Review and report monthly on performance against budget
Plan and provide for an adequate supply and ensure control over spare parts and maintenance supplies
Ensure that all compliance procedures are in place and all safety procedures are followed to avoid any accidents or incidents
Monitors industry trends and marketplace experiences relevant to manufacturing/CNC machining plants operations.
Responsible for the completion and retention reports like: service reports, preventive maintenance, technical reports, insurance reports, service agreements, energy reports, fire plans, contingency plans and standard operating procedure
Participate in recruitment of new employees and provide initial and on-going maintenance training and evaluation with all appropriate plant personnel as needed
Identifies systems and procedures designed to improve operations. Makes recommendations and implement new programs as needed
Manage the maintenance staff, ensuring that all requisite tasks are completed safely and efficiently.
Keep current with technological changes and any governmental regulations changed regarding the chemicals used in the performance of the maintenance duties.
Experience/Qualifications:
Completion of University degree in engineering is required.
5+ years of previous work experience is must.

Flexibility to work overtime as required from time to time
Demonstrated ability in planning and organizing, controlling, coordinating and directing a Maintenance Department
Proven leadership capabilities with a strong track record for implementing continuous improvements and achieving the objectives assigned
Ability to supervise 5-10 people
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with others
In depth knowledge of preventive maintenance and programs to support
Ability to produce understandable and accurate reports and records
History of being dependable and reliable with good organization skills
