Job Description

We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Operations Engineer for our pipeline condition assessment projects. The successful candidate will:

Learn and gain a thorough understanding of SewerVUE?s PPR, lidar, sonar, and ROV technologies
Formulate a comprehensive deployment strategy ? including pre­deployment preparation and checks, deployment plans, post­deployment checks, and a data processing framework ? to ensure an efficient pipeline condition assessment cycle
Lead a team in the operation and troubleshooting of SewerVUE?s technologies in challenging field conditions, including wet weather and confined spaces
Participate in data processing, analysis and reporting, combining the data collected from various sensors to produce findings
Specify, prototype, and test enhancements to SewerVUE?s technologies, in conjunction with team members and engineers

We consider the following pre-requisites to be strong indicators of fit for this position:

An independent, forward-thinking, organized, and energetic mindset that is stimulated by challenges
A Master?s degree in the Geological Sciences (Geophysics, Geology, Geological Engineering, Hydrogeology, etc.)
Demonstrable experience in field surveys
At least 1 year of experience in data analysis and processing, preferably in surveys involving ground penetrating radar (GPR), lidar, sonar, and Distributed Temperature Sensing (DTS)
Experience in deployment, calibration and data analysis of Distributed Temperature Sensing (DTS) surveys would be an advantage
Knowledge of Visual Basics Programming and/or R scripting
Proven experience formulating creative solutions to on­site practical problems
Proven ability to understand complex systems quickly

The salary range is CAD 47 000 – CAD 67 000 per year.
