Manager of Technical Services – Dymaxion Research Limited – Halifax City

Dymaxion Research Limited is one of Nova Scotia’s leading information technology companies.  Dymaxion has been providing Information Technology services and premier computing products to Atlantic Canadian businesses for 42 years. As a tier one reseller, Dymaxion represents an array of IT manufacturers such as HP, Lenovo, Microsoft, Toshiba, Acer, Motorola, Panasonic and many others.

Our Technical Services team provides the value-add to our IT solutions.  They configure, install and support IT products and processes.  They provide managed services to SMBs and of course manage Dymaxion’s own IT infrastructure.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

We are looking for a hands-on leader for our Technical Services team.  You’ll work with customers, management, marketing and sales to develop and deliver strong service offerings that meet our clients’ IT business needs.

Responsible for the management of the technical services team with particular focus on:   goal setting, coaching/mentoring, training, recruitment, growth and profitability.
Develop and maintain Managed Services Agreements, Service Level Agreements and Statements of Work.
Manage Technical Services client relationships.
Create, implement and continually work to improve Dymaxion’s service delivery polices and processes.
Ensure that Technical Services projects are appropriately prioritized and actioned.
Work closely with Marketing to develop and brand innovative service offerings.
Support Sales staff with technical consulting.

Education & Experience:

Minimum five years of business experience working directly with customers.
Strong background in IT Service Delivery with an emphasis on Business Relationship Management, Service Level Management and Managed Services.
Strong background with Microsoft operating systems and applications.
Project management experience, preferably in the development and implementation of technical service solutions.
Experience managing a service team.
Strong understanding of business processes.
