Maintenance Coordinator – Fleet – McLeod Safety Services and Supplies – Truro

We are currently seeking a customer service oriented, knowledgeable, diligent professional to join our team as a Maintenance Coordinator – Fleet.  Reporting to the President, the key responsibilities for this role will include:

Manage all fleet and maintenance activities for the company, including inventory and asset purchasing.
Ensure that all equipment and inventory is tracked and maintained for optimized usage.
Work closely with the traffic control planning department to ensure that safe, reliable vehicles and equipment are readily available to meet customer requirements.
Develop, implement and manage a comprehensive vehicle maintenance program to ensure fleet inspections and evaluations are completed on a regular, scheduled basis to ensure all maintenance standards are consistently met.
Utilize the maintenance program created to continually explore opportunities to improve efficiencies and reduce costs. This would include the incorporation of preventative and/ or predictive maintenance methodology.
Responsible for head office facility management in Truro, as well as various other equipment compounds located throughout Nova Scotia.
Assist in the capital budgeting process and provide reports relating to the status of equipment and fleet maintenance on an as- needed basis

As the successful candidate you will hold a valid drivers’ license, have reliable transportation and possess a minimum 3 years’ experience in maintenance/service – mechanical. You will have strong troubleshooting and analytical skills. You will be computer literate with experience using MS Office (Word and Excel) and have experience using fleet management systems and databases.  You will be required to have excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment. Excellent interpersonal, teambuilding and oral/written communication skills will be necessary.
