The Vancouver Board of Education invites applications for the position of
Journeyman Automotive Mechanic
This position will repair and maintain pickups, dump trucks, farm tractors, grass cutting equipment, tractor tilling equipment, spray tanks, and other equipment as required.
The successful candidate will be an automotive journeyman with a valid BC Trade qualification. Related experience including the repair and maintenance of single cylinder air-cooled engines and knowledge of alternative fuels is a definite asset.
Start Date: 01 May 2017
Location: Grounds Maintenance
Hours of work: 7.5 hours per day
Salary: $29.04/hour
Qualifications:
Must possess a Red Seal Certificate (Interprovincial Trades Qualification) as Automotive Mechanic/Technician
Must have a valid BC driver’s license, own transportation, and be willing to travel throughout the District
Experience as a mechanic is an asset
