The District of Saanich is seeking Certified Water Fitness Instructors who will provide direct instruction, leadership and program management for recreation programs at Gordon Head Recreation Centre and Saanich Commonwealth Place. The successful candidates will also ensure that participants are acting in accordance to the facility rules and that the facility and equipment are in safe, working condition. Requirements include completion of Grade 10; three months experience in the area of fitness instruction; satisfactory police information check; Emergency First-Aid and CPR-C as required. In addition, candidates must possess a BCRPA Certification in theory and Aquafitness Model or CALA (Canadian Aquafitness Leadership Alliance) or Y.M.C.A. Successful candidates will be required to work varying shifts depending on program registration.
