Applications are invited for the Regular Full-Time position of Horticultural Maintenance Chargehand to work in the Parks Operations Division of the Engineering, Parks and Environment Department. Under the direction of the Superintendent, Parks Operations Division, this supervisory position is responsible for manual work as well as exercising independence of judgment and action in all phases of landscaping and general Parks operations duties.  The Horticultural Maintenance Chargehand will be responsible for participating, assigning, and supervising staff in various landscaping work.

RATE OF PAY: $32.35 per hour

HOURS OF WORK: 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday)

The incumbent will have considerable knowledge of the standard practices, methods, materials, tools, and equipment used in the landscaping trade.  A Diploma in Horticulture from a recognized institution and related experience is desired.  A current Pesticide Applicator’s Licence and a valid Class 5 B.C.
