The Hamlet of Igloolik has an immediate opening for the position of Heavy Duty Mechanic Foreman.
Reporting to the Director of Public Works, the Heavy Duty Mechanic Foreman is responsible for the development, maintenance and implementation of preventative maintenance of all Hamlet mobile equipment including Airport mobile equipment. The Heavy Duty Mechanic Foreman directly supervises a Mechanic and Mechanic Apprentice.
The successful candidate will have a complete understanding of and experience with mobile equipment mechanics and operations and supervisory experience in a garage setting.
Minimum qualifications include a Journeyman Red Seal in Heavy Equipment Mechanics and motor vehicles with 5 years successful related experience.
The successful candidate must provide an up-to-date Criminal Record Check.
