We’re looking for a qualified and motivated individual to join the RDEK team as the GIS Database Technician. You will perform a wide range of technical work in maintaining corporate databases and the development and maintenance of the Geographical Information System (GIS) in a customer service oriented environment.

With strong analytical problem solving and organizational skills, focused on data integrity and quality control you ensure accuracy of the GIS. You enjoy working with a variety of people at all levels inside and outside the organization and are known for building and maintaining strong working relationships. Others describe your initiative, flexibility, service and ability to get the job done as truly exceptional.

Your Qualifications Include:

Post-Secondary Degree or Diploma in GIS or related field and two years experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience;
Ability to develop and maintain corporate databases;
Proven experience with Microstation, ArcMap and FME software;
Thorough knowledge of GIS including data management, development, operation and maintenance;
Working knowledge of computer-based mapping systems; and
Ability to convert field survey information, including GPS data, to GIS format.
