We are actively seeking Fire Extinguisher Technician for a reputed fire protection company. This is a full time position available in Scarborough. The preferred candidate should have 2 years experience have a proven knowledge of the Ontario Fire Code and NFPA # 10.
Responsibilities not limited to..
Attend client sites; perform annual inspections of fire extinguishers, fire hoses and emergency lighting.
Asses code requirements and make recommendations to clients to service, maintain, replace or upgrade equipment.
Complete accurate and detailed inspection reports.
Complete the removal of equipment from sites for recharge and testing by our in house staff.
Complete return of equipment to original locations.
Make repairs as required on site and install new equipment.
Qualifications and experience requires…
Minimum 2 years direct related experience (preferred) inspecting and/or repairing fire extinguishers, fire hoses and emergency lighting.
A passion for customer service, the want and need to succeed by providing the clients a quality service experience.
The desire to make a difference and educate the client on the code requirements and safety reasoning for the equipment we service and sell.
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbally and in writing.
Ability to lift equipment and tools up to 50lbs and climb ladders and scaffolding.
Possess a valid motor vehicle license (Class G) with a clean drivers abstract.
Wages : Hourly plus vacation pay
Along with performance bonus and referral fees offered to all employees
