Sussex Machine Shop Ltd, a leader in the metal machining and fabrication business in southern New Brunswick has an opportunity for an Estimator/ Project Coordinator.

Job Requirements

Ability to read and interpret mechanical and construction drawings, and specifications and related documents to clarify quoting/ bidding requirements
Ability to use computer software to prepare shop drawings, calculate time and material estimates, and material cut lists
Good knowledge and experience with computer aided design using AutoCad
Assisting customers in the design of custom-made products, and receive formal customer approval of designs
Travel to jobsites to gather information on materials needed, labor required, and other factors, as required
Establish and maintain long-term relationships with customers, and identify new product, service and business opportunities
Oversee welding and fabrication scheduling and operations
Contribute to team effort by participating in business improvement projects with management and employees
Must be a self- starter and capable of working with minimal supervision, and able to manage multiple priorities and project deadlines.
Strong coordination and organizational skills; High attention to detail and accuracy
Candidate should have minimum 5 years related experience in welding, and steel fabrication shops.
Individuals with trade qualifications and related estimating experience will be considered.
