The City of Campbell River is looking for a skilled and motivated individual to work within its Roads & Drainage Department. Reporting to the Roads & Drainage Supervisor, the Engineering Technologist II provides technical support and assistance in all aspects of municipal operations systems through the performance of a wide variety of office and field technical tasks.
Success in this role requires:
two (2) year engineering or environmental sciences diploma from a recognized post-secondary institute;
eligibility for registration as a C.Tech or AScT with the Applied Science and Technologist Association of BC;
training in Autocad and GIS applications;
minimum three (3) years recent experience in surveying, basic design, layout, construction and as-built recording of civil municipal projects within the past ten (10) years.
The current hourly rate of pay for this CUPE bargaining unit position is $32.00 (as of December 27, 2015), working a 40-hour work week.
