The Town of Redcliff is seeking an individual to assume the challenge of providing innovative support to our Engineering Department. Reporting to the Manager of Engineering, you will support the Engineering Department by: acting in an administrative and technical capacity for civil engineering projects involving design, cost estimation, contract and construction management of subdivision infrastructure, street rehab programs, main extensions and rehabilitation, environmental issues and approvals, and land development related projects.
Qualifications and Experience:
Must have a Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology or Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with a major in Municipal Engineering.
Must be registered with ASET or register/eligible to register with APEGA as EIT with a minimum of 4 years civil engineering experience with at least three years related experience.
Must have proven experience in design, contract preparation and construction management on municipal sanitary, water, storm and road projects.
Must have hands on experience with AutoCad preferably AutoCAD map 3D, MS Word, Excel and some work experience with GIS software.
Familiarities with Alberta municipal legislation and regulatory agencies (Alberta Environment and Parks and Alberta Transportation) and technical guidelines, as well as local government experience engineering design guidelines and construction standards.
Must have and maintain a valid Class 5 Operators License.
Must have excellent written and spoken English capabilities.
Must have a proven ability to function as a team member.
Must be able to demonstrate professionalism by following proper: code of ethics, work habits, dress standards, language usage, office policies, protocol and be courteous to all people.
Salary Range: Start Rate $27.54 – End rate $31.22 per hour
Hours of work: 08:00am – 04:30 pm
