Regular Full Time Position
The Underground Services Division provides engineering services to support Saanich’s sewer, water and drainage systems. The successful candidate will work with the senior drainage technician in upgrading and rehabilitating the municipal storm drainage system. Duties include site investigations and developing and implementing capital improvements. Experience in storm sewer rehabilitation, drainage modelling, and storm sewer design would be an asset.
Requirements include a Diploma in Civil Engineering; a minimum of 5 years related experience; eligibility for membership in ASTT of BC; a valid BC Class 5 Driver’s License; a personal vehicle for use as and when required, and knowledge of computer based engineering applications including AutoCAD. Knowledge of municipal approval processes and standards would be an asset.
