The Town of Rocky Mountain House, population 7300, is located 85 km west of Red Deer. The Engineering & Operations Department is currently seeking a qualified and capable person to join our team as the Engineering Manager. This position will present the selected individual with a variety of challenges and is suitable for a person who is self-motivated, organized and enjoys working in a team-oriented environment.

Job Summary
The Engineering Manager provides daily assistance to the Director of Engineering & Operations in the disciplines of capital works, development, utilities and transportation. Areas of responsibility include: information management for infrastructure database and as-built information; capital planning including maintenance of master plans and preparation of capital budgets; infrastructure improvements including capital project coordination & management; and development design reviews.

Requirements

Post-secondary education in Civil engineering or related field of study.
Registered C.E.T. or P.Eng. in the province of Alberta.
Valid Alberta Driver’s License – Class 5.
Strong knowledge of computer software programs including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and AutoCAD.
Experience GIS systems is an asset.
Municipal experience of at least three (3) years is as asset.

Salary
The current salary range for this position is $78,478.40 to $88,296.00 per year. Salary will commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Hours of Work
This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) that includes a complete benefit package. Hours of work will be 7:00am – 4:00pm, Monday to Friday.
