The City of Langford Engineering Department has an opening for a 1-Year Temporary Full-Time contract position starting as early as May 27, 2015 (exact start date is negotiable).
The City is doing an inventory of all assets such as roads, culverts, signs, streetlights, playpark equipment etc. The successful candidate for this position will be responsible for working with field data collected for these assets. The position is primarily in the office, working with as-built drawings and adding intelligence to the data.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have experience in reading and interpreting engineering drawings as they relate to road, sidewalk, utilities (water, sewer, storm) and other civil infrastructure. Must be proficient in ESRI’s Arc Map and MS EXCEL. Use of GPS equipment would be an asset. Candidates must hold a valid BC Driver’s licence.
The salary will be $30.12 per hour plus 12% in lieu of benefits.
