Electronics Engineering Technologist (2) Positions – Kentville
(1) Full Time Permanent, (1) Full Time Term

Our Clinical Engineering Division offers a technology support program to member organizations across Nova Scotia and we operate from our base offices in New Glasgow, Amherst, Bedford, Truro, Kentville, Bridgewater, Yarmouth, and Antigonish.  We currently have (2) openings for an Electronics Technologist to join our Clinical Engineering team in Kentville, Nova Scotia. One position will be on a full time permanent basis and the second will be on a full time term basis. Both positions are expected to begin as soon as suitable candidates are selected. The term position is expected to be for a period of 12+ months.

You will be involved in the delivery of technical services to a variety of health care organizations, operating from this base.  You will have the opportunity to work with health professionals in a team-based environment, and to provide an essential service in support of the health and well being of others.  Primary duties include the maintenance, repair and support of a wide range of medical equipment used in the delivery of healthcare, such as Drug Infusion devices, Life support systems, Cardiac Diagnostic systems, etc.

You must have successfully completed an Electronic or Biomedical Engineering Technology program (or acceptable equivalent).  CET certification through TECHNOVA (or equivalent) and CBET certification will be viewed as an asset. Necessary skills include strong troubleshooting, interpersonal and communications skills, good mechanical ability.  Please note, extensive travel to member organizations is a core requirement of this position, therefore applicants must have their own vehicle.  Mileage will be reimbursed as per Health Association rate.
