To be successful in this senior role, demonstrable and significant experience associated with creating and implementing effective systems to manage work flow and create efficiencies, performance management of both unionized and exempt employees, and cross-functional collaboration with the SMT and other departments is required.

The ideal candidate will have a university degree in civil engineering, or a closely related field, preferably at the graduate level. Registration as a Professional Engineer in the Province of British Columbia is preferred and experience as a statutory Approving Officer is an asset. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years’ progressive experience as a senior manager or director in the Engineering and Operations services (or closely related) field, preferably in the municipal environment; consistent professional development in both technical and people management subject areas; and a valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License.
