Job Duties:
- Review motor vehicle repair estimate reports to determine what needs to be fixed
- Hammer out dents, buckles and other defects
- Remove damaged fenders, panels, and grills and straighten bent frames
- Repair and replace doors, front-end body and other automotive components
- Tighten various vehicle components involving riveting, replace door bearings and bushings
- Repair structure behind panels
- Remove and replace various bus and truck components such as window frames, mirrors
- Use Tram Gauge measuring equipment to ensure quality and structural integrity is maintained
- Work in a high production environment to ensure quality tools and equipment
- Weld using MIG and AC/DC techniques
- Fill body dents with appropriate compounds; prepare surface for paint by cleaning, sandblasting, grinding, sanding
- Apply undercoating
Skills and Education Requirements:
- Secondary Education Required
- Minimum 2-5 year experience required
- Trade Certification required
