We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer that will take ownership of mechanical designs through the entire product lifecycle – concept, feasibility studies, engineering development, verification testing, new product introduction, and production. The candidate should be proficient using 3-D Solid Modeling software (Solidworks) and have a hands-on understanding of manufacturing and testing practices.

Responsibilities:
Working with the engineering team, create smart mechanical design solutions from concept through entire development life cycle to manufacturing,
Design gear/motor/belts mechanisms using off the shelf parts, do power/energy requirement calculations,
Perform functional research/investigation, write test plans, and write formal test reports,
Do system integration of control and power electronics, along with electrical and mechanical parts,
Search and select proper materials and parts, then design them into the final product (including rubber/plastic molded parts),
Efficiently deliver prototypes for immediate evaluation and turn times,
Provide support and guidance to other R&D team members and other departments.

Qualifications:
Minimum Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering,
Fundamental mechanical engineering acumen acquired through education and experience, including 3D modeling and CAD design skills,
Creativity and innovation – explore new and different methods for solving design challenges,
Good knowledge of properties of materials,
Quality orientation and attention to detail, as well as drive for continuous improvement,
Ability to plan, organize and execute job functions in a timely manner to maintain project schedules,
Great problem-solving and communication skills,
Responsive to inquiries from other engineering and business teams,
Works well in a team environment.
