INNOVAMECH Inc. offers support for:

the development of new mechanical automation equipment
the modification of existing equipment
research to optimize and reduce costs of existing production processes
creating 3D models and 2D production & assembly drawings
applications for R&D tax credits

We have an immediate opening for a mechanical designer.

Duties include:

Generate innovative designs for new or improved automation equipment.
Prepare models, calculations and detail drawings for new designs or design changes, in compliance with the specifications of our customers
Maintain thorough documentation for all aspects of assigned projects specifications

Qualifications:

Minimum 5 years proven experience in mechanical design
Strong 3d skills (preferably SolidWorks)
Working knowledge of AutoCAD
Basic knowledge of electrical design, motion control and PLC programming would be an asset
Must be capable to work independently and as part of a team
Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational abilities to establish and maintain positive relations with customer, supplier and internal contacts
Proficient in MS office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
Strong oral and written communication skills
Must have a strong mechanical aptitude
Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent work experience
P Eng would be an asset
