Role Description:

Reporting to and supporting the WPF Electrical Lead Engineers and the Installation & Integration Manager on the Hebron Topsides project on the execution of required Electrical temporaries
Focus on the requirements associated with the Main Utility Process Module (UPM) and the associated Temporaries required for the various stages of Installation, Integration, Construction and Commissioning
Lead and /or assist in the review, resolution and response to Technical Query’s associated with Electrical Systems and associated Controls for overall Topsides design including UPM, Living Quarters, Ancillaries, etc. during the Hook Up and Commissioning phase of the Hebron project
Responsible for directing designers as necessary to complete deliverables associated with Electrical FOE activities
Prepare studies and reports of technical and project management nature in support to both WPF Senior Management and client’s expectations and requirements
Ensure the project Electrical design conforms to the client’s approved Basis of Design and all applicable regulatory and code requirements
Oversee various subcontractors providing Electrical services and or equipment for temporaries
Support Commissioning, Operations and Start Up Teams as required and directed by Engineering and I & I Management
Production and or review of Documents for Operations (DFO), involving Electrical scopes associated with the Hebron Topsides
Manage and coordinate related FOE engineering activities to ensure assignments or projects are executed in a safe, efficient, cost effective and timely manner
Transition design knowledge and experience to designated counter-part prior to completion of assignment

Responsibilities:

Senior Electrical engineer for the FOE phase of the Hebron Topsides, including updates to basis of design, preparation of engineering and detailed design packages for approved changes, modifications and/or Temporaries required to support FOE activities
Prepare project scope of work, planning and schedule, work-hour estimates, coordination, and progress monitoring and reporting, associated with agreed modifications and or Technical Query responses as required.
Focus on As-Built and other programs associated with ensuring the required Deliverables associated with DFO requirements are produced in line with the contract content and project schedule
Produce Electrical and associated Control related engineering deliverables, i.e. provide input to permanent facility and temporary Single Line Diagrams (SLD’s); create and or modify electrical schematics, interconnects and datasheets, installation details, location drawings, material take-offs, material requisitions, tender adjudication, evaluation of alternatives and selection of equipment for required Temporaries
Produce Electrical and associated Controls related engineering deliverables, i.e. Different Stage SLD’s, commissioning and system specifications, EPMS specification, work packages, system block diagrams, control system architecture, control network topology, panelboard layouts, schematics, wiring details and interconnect drawings for
Interface with both Vendors and Subcontractors providing equipment and services for the Temporary Electrical distribution systems. Responsible to ensure project schedule alignment and delivery.
Interface with all stakeholders requiring temporary power during the various project stages including but not limited to Construction, Installation and Integration subcontractors, client Engineering and Operations teams, regulatory Authority, etc

Requirements:

Electrical Engineering Degree; 5+ years experience in a similar role in a multi-disciplinary engineering and design environment with a minimum of 10 years Oil & Gas, refining or heavy engineering sector
Experience in Front End Engineering Design and Detailed Engineering Design Phases on a topsides offshore oil & gas project is considered essential
Knowledge of the necessary temporary power scope required for the topside of an offshore topsides platform is essential Construction oversight and/or Commissioning of Offshore facilities or equivalent Site experience with large integrated Topsides facilities in Korean fabrication yards, desirable
Knowledge of applicable theories, practices, and accepted procedures
Recognized as having a specialized depth or breadth of expertise within the discipline
Interprets internal and external business challenges with impact on the organization and recommends best practice solutions
Proficient with engineering software applications; Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Accuracy and attention to detail important. Ability to meet deadlines and manage priorities
Ability to contribute to preparation and delivery of presentations to customersStrong written and verbal communication skills in English are essential
Ability to transfer subject matter expertise and understanding to other employees and/or customers
