Electronics Engineering Technologist – Mississauga – Hurontario Corporate Centre Inc

We are looking for an experienced electronics engineering technologist to develop, implement and manage a utility/energy management system.

Job Description:
Design, develop and test power equipment and systems
Assist in design, development and testing
Write specifications, Install, maintain and service equipment
Assist in inspecting, testing and adjusting electronic components
Calibrate electronic equipment and instruments
Assist in building and testing prototypes to specifications
Collect and compile operational or experimental data
Set up and operate specialized and standard test equipment to diagnose
Test and analyze the performance of electrical and electronic components, assemblies and systems
Conduct or supervise the installation, commissioning, and operation of electrical and electronic equipment and systems
Supervise the building and testing of prototypes
Assist in preparing estimates, schedules, specifications and reports
Read and interpret blueprints

Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years work experience
Minimum college degree in electronics and/or technology related field
Excellent oral and written communication
Effective interpersonal skills, Team player, Organized, Initiative, Values and ethics
Computer and Technology required experience: Device drivers, Networking software, Internet, Servers, Security software, Communication software, Programming software, Mapping and data visualization software, Data analysis software, Database software, Programming languages, Software development, Computer-aided design (CAD), MS Access, MS Excel, MS Office, MS Windows
Equipment, Systems and Control required experience: Telecommunication system, Data communication equipment and systems, Electric motors, generators, drives and motor controls, Radio communication equipment, Electronic testing equipment and systems, Building system, Security system, Programmable logic controller (PLC)
Other job requirements: Java, Assembler, C, Python, Object-Oriented programming languages, Primary control element and sensors maintenance and application, Visual Basic
Wage: $31.50 to $36.00 per hour depending on experience
