Electrical Project Engineer

Cahill has an immediate need for an Electrical Project Engineer to provide support for its ongoing projects in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.

The Electrical Project Engineer will be responsible for:

Working with Superintendents, Supervisors and Tradespeople to ensure that projects are executed on time and on budget.
Addressing technical inquiries in the field for various projects and will maintain good working relationships with the client and other subcontractors.
Maintaining construction documents, perform take-offs and estimates for change orders and perform field checks and verifications.
Assisting in various administrative and technical aspects of project management and will be responsible for creating and administering FIWP’s, test packages and hand-over documentation.
Assisting with the preparation of technical procedures as required. Assist with preparation and completion, with field resources, or required quality documents.

The successful candidates will have of minimum of five years’ experience in a construction related field and possess a Bachelor of Engineering Degree Field Engineers must be proficient with Microsoft Office and have excellent oral and written communication skills.

Engineers must be registered, or eligible for registration, with the Association of Professional Engineers of Nova Scotia (APENS).
