Process Automation company is looking for a candidate.

The Electrical Estimator will be responsible for providing accurate estimating, and subcontractor costing from the concept stage through to the contract letting and planning stage. Reporting to the Project Manager, the ideal candidate will have a minimum of five (5) years estimating within Canada. Estimator will also be a part of execution team as and when required. Estimator will act as a senior electrician for execution for electrical jobs and overseeing subcontractors or electricians in team.

Responsibilities:

Prepare estimates, develop complete & accurate take-offs, and final estimate summaries
Contribute to and maintain cost databases, sub trade partners, and supplier directories
Analyze proposal specifications and drawings to establish the proper scope of work
Perform and/or manage the quantity survey and pricing effort for internal budget
Participate in periodic reviews and visits to projects as appropriate
Assist in the preparation and review of work plans as requested
Prepare conceptual budgets based on minimal information Electrical Estimator.
Act as a senior electrician for execution as and when required.

Qualifications:

Five (5) years of estimating experience with commercial or institutional construction within Canada
Understanding of electrical, control, and fire alarm systems and of the Electrical Trade Scope in general within the Industrial Construction Industry. Utility Sector experience would be an asset.
Have a designation of either CET, PQS and P. Eng
Previous experience winning bids valued at/over $10 Million
Familiar with Canadian and local building codes and construction materials
Proficient in understanding the unit costs and construction cost drivers
