Marine Industrial Lighting Systems Ltd., a locally owned international supplier of innovative marine lighting products has immediate need for an Intermediate level Electrical Technologist in its design department.

The ideal candidate would possess good communication skills, be able to work within a team environment, while possessing the ability to work alone with minimum supervision and meet key deadlines. The person should have solid computer skills and be fully functional with Solidworks, MS operating system programs, AutoCAD, Navisworks and Project planning software.

A solid background in Electronics along with a strong Mechanical background and experience in the marine environment would be an asset.

The company has several interesting projects whereby the successful candidate will immediately become involved in the design, development and testing aspects of the new product development.

Our expectations for the ideal candidate would be:

Knowledge of lighting design software programs
The ability to read and comprehend engineered lighting plan sheets
Knowledgeable in  lighting standards, codes and product requirements
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrate in depth knowledge of lighting and lighting control systems.

Travel domestically and internationally may be required.
