We are currently seeking a high caliber Senior Electrical Engineer – Buildings to work for our client based in Edmonton, AB

You will have the following experience/qualifications:

Undergraduate degree in electrical engineering an accredited post-secondary institution
Eligible for professional licensing with APEGA
Minimum 15+ years of relevant experience, preferably in a consulting engineering environment
Experience in design of medium and low voltage electrical services, metering, primary and secondary switchgear, motor control centres, electrical distribution systems, lighting systems, fire alarm systems and security systems
Experience with commercial, institutional and industrial building design
Experience in a multi-discipline project setting
Proven leadership skills
Strong technical writing skills
Strong written and oral English communication skills
Strong organization skills
Committed team player
Proposal writing experience is an asset
Advanced computer skills are an asset
Experience in project management is an asset
Revit experience is an asset

Additional requirements/ duties:

Provide QA/QC reviews, value engineering of systems for projects, mentoring and multi-discipline support for other AE departments.
Liaise with clients, consultants, regulatory and utility agencies, and contractors, as well as writing reports and proposals.
Goal-oriented individual with leadership potential.
Have an interest in marketing, maintaining client relationships to develop new business, and developing strategic alliances with architects and owners, contractors, and other consultants.
From time to time, travel and periods away from your normal place of work may be required.
