Reporting to the Senior Manager, this position will require the person to assemble/create construction drawings, including site plans, floor plans, elevations, building sections, wall details and more. The successful candidate will be working collaboratively within a team of Designers and Technologists in a fast-paced environment, creating drawing packages for a variety of hospitality projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Ability to assemble construction drawings with minimal supervision including site plans, floor plans, elevations, building sections, wall details, etc. using AutoCAD and/or Revit.
Review and coordinate consultant drawings, shop drawings and produce red line markups.
Site investigation/reviews, measuring and evaluating with a high level of accuracy.
Production of working drawings from schematic design through to construction administration with minimal supervision.
Qualifications:
Post-secondary education in Architectural Technology and/or a degree in Architecture from a recognized Architectural Graduate Program or Architectural Technologists Program.
BCIN (Large Buildings), a definite asset.
Minimum of 5-7 years of working experience in production of working drawings from schematic designs through to construction administration.
High level of proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, 3D SketchUp and Microsoft Office.
Fully versed in the Ontario Building Code having experience with large scale commercial, mixed use and restaurant buildings.
Strong knowledge of building technology and assembly, construction methodologies, material application and interpretation of manufacturer’s requirements.
Knowledge of Photoshop an asset.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Exceptional ability to multi-task and to float between multiple projects at any given time, while keeping a high level of accuracy.
Willingness and ability to learn new software quickly.
Extremely well organized with good interpersonal skills and proven reliability.
Experience in Restaurants and in the Hospitality Industry is a definite asset.
Salary range $50K-$60K
