Estimating Manager
The ideal candidate will currently be working in a senior estimating role in the construction industry with 5 to 10 years of experience in Base Build and Renovation projects including design build experience, and will be looking to move their career to the next level and manage a team of Estimators. A current skill-set in leading and closing tenders will be transferable into this new role and will allow demonstration of managerial skills by maintaining and improving the current success rate of the department.
The successful candidate will use past experience to guide and mentor the department and oversee day-to-day department duties including the following key tasks:
Manage the tender workload and allocate tenders throughout the department.
Maintain and improve departmental function
Perform estimating function on key projects
Oversee and lead where necessary; close-out procedures for outgoing tenders
Monitor and implement staff development
Liaise with other Senior staff to ensure departmental co-efficiency
The ideal candidate will possess a PQS, CET or CAT designation or equivalent combination of training and experience. Gold Seal and/or LEED® certification would be considered assets. The ability to invest the hours required to bid projects is a must.
