Location: Cumberland Paving & Contracting, Halifax

Responsibilities:
Work in conjunction with the General Manager to determine the strategic direction of the Division
Coordinate, manage and supervise construction activities for commercial and government projects
Fiscal responsibility for the budget and performance targets
Work with present and prospective customers to develop and increase market share
Manage QC staff to ensure quality requirements are met
Identify equipment needs and assist in the purchasing process
Identify personnel needs and assist with the recruitment of staff
Manage the estimating staff
Manage the administrative staff
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Requirements:
Post-secondary education in Engineering or C.E.T designation with related experience
A minimum of 10 years’ experience in road construction industry with at least 5 in a management role
Experience with estimating, budget management and cost control
Excellent supervisory, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential
Computer proficient
Effective oral and written communication skills
Strong organizational and time management skills
