New Brunswick Community College (NBCC) is committed to transforming lives and communities. The College is currently seeking dynamic individuals for Instructor positions in the following programs: Refrigeration & Mechanical Technician, Electrical Distribution Technician, Electrical Generation Systems Technician, Plumbing & Heating Technician, Water, Fuels & Environment Technician, and Construction Technician.

Reporting to the Department Head, you are responsible for addressing the learning needs of adult students which includes planning and preparing instructional materials and resources; establishing and maintaining a positive learning environment; instructing and evaluating students; building and sustaining professional relationships with students, colleagues, community partners, and stakeholders; as well as other related duties. The successful incumbent will be willing and able to integrate technology and active student learning techniques into teaching practices.

Required qualifications for this opportunity include a valid Red Seal license in the respective trade(s) plus a minimum of three (3) years of recent, related work experience at the Journeyperson’s level.

Written and spoken competence in English is required. Successful candidates will be required to undergo a criminal background check.

The following qualifications will be considered an asset:

Experience teaching in the specified trades, or in a similar academic program;
Experience working in a military setting;
Supervisory experience, either in military environment or otherwise;
Written and spoken competence in French.

Candidates must clearly demonstrate how they meet these qualifications on their resumes.

Other combinations of education and experience may be considered as equivalent. Subject to competition response, the minimum qualifications may be raised.

Employment with the College is contingent upon NBCC being awarded the contract.
