Summer Educator – Leave No Trace Canada – Halifax, Nova Scotia

ORGANIZATION

Leave No Trace Canada is a national non-profit organization dedicated to promoting and inspiring responsible outdoor recreation through education, research and partnerships. It builds awareness, appreciation and respect for our wildlands. There are seven Leave No Trace Principles that encourage low-impact use of our natural environment: 1. Plan Ahead and Prepare, 2. Travel and Camp on Durable Surfaces, 3. Dispose of Waste Properly, 4. Leave What You Find, 5. Minimize Campfire Impacts, 6. Respect Wildlife, 7. Be Considerate of Other Visitors. Hike Nova Scotia is a member of Leave No Trace and has partnered with it to promote the seven principles and host this summer project.
