The University of New Brunswick, Faculty of Nursing invites applications for one full-time term Senior Instructor at UNB Moncton commencing January 1, 2016.
Applicants for the Moncton Senior Instructor position should anticipate teaching responsibilities for 12 months per year for two years. Clinical expertise is required in acute care nursing but we do encourage nurses with other areas of expertise to apply.
Successful applicants will be involved with classroom and/or clinical teaching and coordination of clinical courses. Responsibilities also include membership and participation in governance and decision-making in standing committees of the Faculty.
Graduates of the UNB undergraduate Nursing programs are eligible to write the NCLEX and prepared to work with individuals, families and communities guided by the principles of caring, social justice and primary health care.
Qualifications for term positions: A Master’s degree in Nursing or equivalent is preferred. Applicants with a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and recent relevant clinical and/or teaching experience in a baccalaureate nursing program are also eligible to apply.
Qualification for all positions: Must be registered or eligible to obtain registration with the Nurse’s Association of New Brunswick and current CPR – BLS for Healthcare Providers. Successful applicants may also be required to meet clinical placement requirements which may include criminal record check, immunization requirements and on-line orientation modules.
These positions are subject to final budgetary approval.
