CAMP OVERVIEW

Camp Kirk is a small overnight camp for children who have Learning Disabilities, AD/HD, Autism Spectrum Disorders, and/or other types of exceptionalities. We strive to empower our campers and raise self-esteem by providing a supportive, nurturing, and non-competitive environment.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Ropes Course and Leadership Instructor will be responsible for planning and facilitating a program that utilizes our high- and low ropes course elements and our rock climbing walls. The aim of our Ropes & Leadership program is to develop leadership skills, group dynamics, and personal challenge through a non-competitive and nurturing approach.

The dates of employment run from June 19th until August 25th, 2016. All staff members reside at camp and Room and Board is provided over and above the salary.

QUALIFICATIONS

Must be 19 years old by June 19th
CUI/Adventureworks Level 1 or 2 Certification, or equivalent
An interest to work with children with exceptionalities
First Aid and CPR certification
A current Criminal Record Check
