Recreation Instructors – Fitness & Specialty
The City of Coquitlam is seeking enthusiastic, personable, energetic and outgoing fitness professionals to complement our health & wellness team. These casual positions are responsible for the planning and execution of community based fitness classes at any one of our recreation facilities. We are looking to bring on a wide range of instructors to join our team including, however, not limited to cycling, boot camp, cardio kick box, aerobics, yoga, Barre and Pilates.
Requirements – Candidates are required to be available to work mornings, afternoons, evenings and weekends.
Basic Qualifications
Current BCRPA Fitness Certification currently registered as a Fitness Leader in Group Fitness or equivalent certification/registration accepted by the City of Coquitlam.
Specialty module certifications are required for some program offerings (Yoga, Pilates, Pre/Post Natal, and Cycling etc.)
Current First Aid, CPR C/AED Certification
The rates of pay for these positions vary, depending on experience/specialty. The range of pay is $25.00 – $40.00 per hour.
