As one of the largest, most progressive urban districts in the province, Burnaby School District provides comprehensive educational programs and services at 41 elementary, 8 secondary schools and a number of other facilities.

This position is responsible for planning and completing maintenance and capital projects, supervising support staff and managing contractors.

The ideal candidate will be an exceptionally strong communicator, possess a trade certification in one or more building trades, will have successfully completed post-secondary training in an applicable management discipline and have three to five years’ experience of on-site supervision in a unionized environment. Candidates must also be proficient in the preparation of budgets, project specifications and estimates, and contract administration.
