The District of Saanich is seeking Instructors who will provide instruction of early childhood programs at all four recreation centres. The anticipated start date for these positions is Fall 2015. Registered programs will include dance, music, martial arts and sports (gymnastics) for preschoolers up to 6 years of age. Instructors may also participate in the activity or perform hosting duties. Instructors ensure that participants are acting in accordance to the facility rules and that the facility and equipment are in safe, working condition. Requirements include completion of Grade 10; three months experience in the related areas of instruction; related certification or when certification does not exist, training in area of instruction of no less than 3 months; satisfactory police information check; Emergency First-Aid and CPR-C as required. Successful candidates will be required to work varying shifts during day time hours (hours and shifts are subject to change).
