Athol Murray College of Notre Dame, founded in 1927, is a coeducational, Catholic, boarding school offering a high school program for students in grades 9-12. Notre Dame has a well-respected academic curriculum, high performance athletic programs and spiritual development rooted in Christian humanism. The Female Hockey Coordinator is responsible for organizing the Female Hockey Program at Athol Murray College of Notre Dame. They are responsible for the following: establishment of three female teams, training camp procedures, setting up schedules and format for female tournaments, spring showcases/camps, summer hockey school, and attend league meetings. They are to coordinate with all hockey department personnel, coaches, managers, trainers as well as arena staff. They will be responsible for the programming, development and evaluation of teams, internal and external communications, recruitment and retention, and promotion of the programs. Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
Post- Secondary Degree/Diploma in Business Administration and Communications, Kinesiology, or Sport Management.
Experience as a Hockey Coach.
Experience in scouting and recruiting players.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Position will involve extra hours on evenings, weekends and due to travel which there will be no paid overtime. Flexible hours in lieu of overtime must be approved by the Director of Hockey Development.
Must have a clean Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector.
Must have a valid driver’s license.
Display a commitment to Notre Dame’s Catholic nature, philosophy, principles, mission, history and strategic plan.
Ability and willingness to travel.
