The City of Campbell River is looking for skilled and motivated individual to work within its Development Services Department.
Reporting to the Development Engineer, the Engineering Technologist I performs a wide variety of technical tasks in all aspects of municipal operations systems including such things as, customer inquiries, research, application reviews, inspections and field work.
Success in this role requires:
two (2) year diploma in engineering, water, wastewater, environmental sciences or other relevant field;
eligibility for registration as a Certified Technician (CTech) or as an Applied Science Technologist (AScT) with the Applied Science and Technologist Association of BC;
introductory training in mapping and/or GIS applications;
minimum one (1) year experience in simple design, layout, construction, and as-built recordings of civil municipal projects within the past five (5) years.
The current hourly rate of pay for this CUPE bargaining unit position is $30.32, working a 35-hour work week.
