Camp Kirk is a small residential (overnight) summer camp for children who have Learning Disabilities, AD/HD, Autism Spectrum Disorders, and/or other types of exceptionalities. We strive to empower our campers and raise self-esteem by providing a supportive, nurturing, and non-competitive environment.

Job Description

The Eco Instructor is responsible for planning and facilitating programming that engages campers with the natural world. Whether this is through free exploration of our Bucky Mucky Swamp or a guided whole-group activity, we hope to inspire a nature connection in our campers and we hope to do so in a fun and engaging manner.

The dates of employment run from June 21st until August 25th, 2015. All staff members reside at camp and Room and Board is provided over and above the salary.

Qualifications

Knowledgeable and passionate about the natural world
Strong facilitation skills & previous experience leading group activities
Previous experience working with children
A Vulnerable Sectors Screening, First Aid/CPR
