The Regina Catholic School Division (RCSD) is the fifth largest school division in Saskatchewan, serving more than 11,000 students divided between 30 schools. We are looking for a Director of Education to be accountable for implementing the vision, mission and goals set by the organization. The Director will develop and implement plans regarding capacity and growth of the organization in collaboration with the Board of Trustees. With a focus on planning, the incumbent will lead the scheduled 2017 opening of three Public-Private Partnership schools, the first of its kind in Regina. The Director will be responsible for negotiating with government stakeholders, including the Ministry of Education, regarding funding, curriculum and other areas of interest.

The Director must possess a Master’s Degree in a relevant field, preferably in Education, a minimum of 15 years of relevant experience including 5 years of teaching experience in an elementary or secondary environment and a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a supervisory role at the administrative level. The successful candidate will be a member of, or qualify for membership in LEADS and bring experience in combined unionized and non-unionized working environments. Strong communications and leadership skills are a must, and the Director will be a strategic thinker with strong financial acumen and with the ability to handle extensive and diverse stakeholder input. The successful candidate embodies the Catholic faith in all that they do. Candidates must provide a reference from their parish Priest.
