POSITION TITLE:     Aquatic Fitness Instructor
HOURS:     Varies
START DATE:     June 2015

POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the supervision of the Fitness Coordinator/Programmer, the Aquatic Fitness instructor is responsible to ensure enjoyable experiences for participants and deliver excellence in aquatic service and programming. You will evaluate, design, and lead multi-leveled fitness classes. This includes both shallow and deep water classes.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Able to motivate and instruct large groups of individuals.
Provide high quality customer service.
Great organization skills

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

Current BCRPA Group Fitness Certification plus BCRPA Aqua Fit Module or equivalent
Excellent customer service, communication and interpersonal skills
Previous experience instructing both deep water and shallow water classes
Current Emergency First Aid, CPR ‘C’ & AED certification

These term contract opportunities require a satisfactory criminal record check. The applicant/incumbent will be required to undergo a criminal record check in order to work in this position and to report to their supervisor if any criminal charges are laid against them that may be related to their employment in this position.

The hourly rate of pay for this term contract position is $28.85 per hour plus 4% in lieu of vacation.
