GreenPAC is seeking a dynamic individual who wants to help build a new, innovative campaign to crowd-source environmental leadership in Canada. We are seeking a candidate for a full-time internship (four months) to work closely with GreenPAC’s board and staff.
Responsibilities include:
Work closely with project lead and the outreach/communications team to develop an engaging web content strategy that tells the story of environmental leadership;
Liaise and reach out to leaders and researchers in the environmental sector to source blog posts;
Write engaging and dynamic content that tells the story of environmental leadership to maintain the blog;
Work closely with the outreach/communications team to develop and contribute to the online campaign strategy on social media;
General editing and administrative tasks as required.
Job requirements:
Experience working on campaigns, digital engagement teams, or with social media;
HTML and graphic design skills;
Excellent written communication skills;
Highly organized, and good at working both independently and as part of team;
Cares deeply about environmental issues.
Any experience in the following areas would be considered assets:
Web design;
Experience working with NationBuilder;
French language skills.
Eligible Interns:
Individuals must be:
between 15 and 30 years old (inclusive) at the time of placement;
a post-secondary graduate;
lack of work experience in the field of study;
out of school;
unemployed; or underemployed;
available full-time;
a Canadian citizen, or permanent resident, or a protected person as defined by the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act;
legally entitled to work according to the relevant provincial/territorial legislation and regulations; and not in receipt of employment insurance (EI) benefits;
in need of assistance in order to overcome employment barriers.
