The South East Kelowna Irrigation District is looking for an experienced water distribution system operator to join our staff. Shortlisted applicants will have direct experience in all aspects of water distribution system operations including service and pipeline installation, repair and maintenance. The successful candidate will become an integral part of our operations team and contribute to the ongoing operations and maintenance of a Class IV Water Distribution System.
Preferred credentials:
Completion of Grade 12
Direct experience installing and repairing water mains and services
Certification as a Water Distribution System Operator Level 2 or higher.
Individuals with a proven track record in all aspects of water distribution operations including chlorine handling, water meters, PRV operations and maintenance, and watermain/water service repairs and installations.
Possession of a Chlorine Handlers Certificate.
Must be available for weekend, on-call and stand-by shifts and live within a reasonable distance to respond to emergencies.
