We’re building an entirely new ecommerce and business management platform, from the ground up. We need a capable and confident UI/UX Designer to join the team to help take us from wireframes to pixel-perfect layouts — and beyond!
You’ll have true creative influence and will play a major role in defining the look / feel of our new application, website, and digital marketing assets. As an agile and fast growing company, you’ll also have the opportunity to contribute in other areas depending on your skill set. This is a contract position, but for the right person it could easily turn into a permanent, full-time opportunity.
Is this you?
3-5 years of experience designing web and mobile applications or equivalent experience
Ability to work fast and manage trade offs when faced with short deadlines
Passionate about UI/UX (you’re a perfectionist)
Crazy about consistency across user experience — from email to desktop to mobile
Proficient in wireframing and prototyping using Sketch, Omnigraffle, etc.
Extensive knowledge in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.)
Self-motivated, eager to take ownership and initiative, with the ability to prioritize work
You get things done whether you’re working autonomously or in a team setting
Excellent communication and debate skills to defend design decisions
Able to actively participate in design critiques/reviews and formulate take-aways
Bonus points for
A genuine interest and passion for organic and local food and/or the environment — this would be a big asset
Proficiency in HTML/CSS, JS (jQuery)
Experience with MVC frameworks such as Ruby on Rails
